I have been working as a lead auditor for certification bodies and a notified body for over 11 years. The aim of my auditing is to verify the practical implementation level of the standards. I am authorized to audit the following standards according to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 50001 in conjunction with ISO 50003 and the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) 2017/745.
Everybody starts small.
After leaving school, I initially trained as a surgical mechanic, during which I was able to quickly grasp and implement additional tasks from my boss with regard to occupational safety.
During my training, I realized that I lacked the medical background for medicine, which was neglected in my training. I decided to train as a paramedic, which I was able to learn in theory at the State Rescue School in Grafenweiler in the Palatinate and in practice at a teaching rescue station and in a hospital.
After my training in the field of management systems and further training (Industrial MedTec VT materials and management systems) and activities as a management representative, I was approached by a certification body and notified body to take part in the trainee program to become an auditor.
After completing the training phase and being appointed as a co-auditor and lead auditor, I worked as an auditor all over the world. I was able to gain a lot more experience in the process. That's why I live and breathe auditing and integrate myself into the processes in terms of practicability.
Environmental and energy protection was passed on to me by my parents in the early years of my life.
My parents had taught me about waste separation, proper disposal, substitution tests, the use of organic cleaners, storage and the idea of saving energy.
The aim was to protect the environment and minimize energy requirements.
